Crusades collection

Hi Gents,
Got some of the crusade collection out today lighting wasn't great so tried a lamp half way through.
Most of the mounted figures are on the table which highlights the need for a large increase in the Muslim forces. It also highlighted that Richard the Lion Hearts retinue needs a boost and that Teutonic Knights are missing. Like a lot of us I get distracted and jump onto other projects before completing the previous but will return to this at some point in the future if I could only Keep one collection this would be it.

Wanted 6mm Napoleonic

Hi Gents

My old group of Napoleonic gamers has reunited the 4 of us used to do large battles with 15mm armies we have now decided to do these in 6mm. I have been tasked with putting together the French allies Confederation of the Rhine Polish and other minor states.
After a lot of boasting from the Russian and Prussian sides aboubt how large their armies would be I thought I would put the feelers out on the blog and see if I can get ahead by buying some ready painted.
I have already commissioned the Bavarian army but I'm on the look out for very well painted Adler 6mm Napoleonic Polish and Confederation of the Rhine figures if anyone has fallen out of love with theirs drop me a line.

The arms race has begun 😀

Mostly head swaps

Flaf pole still to be painted and figures based.

I must admit the Old Glory figures really came up a treat.

Last stand in St Annes Chapel

 Hi Gents,

Been a while since the last post still collecting and have some new arrivals that are due to be shown next week. In May my wife and I visited Malta which was great we stayed in Valetta which was like living history itself. First day we went down to St Elmo and visited St Anne's chapel this is where the last defending knights made their last stand along with two priests who stayed with the defenders.
These figures are a mix of manufacturers but mainly Eureka for these pics.
This is how I imagine the seen inside the chapel.

A grizzly fate awaited the Knights after the battle the bodies where decapitated and the bodies nailed to wooden crosses and floated towards St Angelo across the Bay to terrify the defenders.

Local myth has the ghosts of the knights can still be seen from time to time.

The figures are brought to life by the brush of Dave Jarvis.

Really pleased with this collection.

The Knights commander after seeing the mutilated bodies of his brethren float to wards St Angelo ordered that the ottoman prisoners in the dungeons be brought up and beheaded the heads were then fired back to the Turks this is total war.

A lot of Janissaries arriving next week as the push to complete the Ottomans begins.

We plan to visit Malta at some point in the future what a great place.
Best wishes
